Hello there! My name is Mae, and I am a veteran safari guide.
I worked as a guide in the Bwinde Impenetrable Forest for many years, then moved to work at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Though I’ve been out of the game for quite some time—I won’t mention how many decades—I receive constant requests for information, written guides and itineraries, and travel advice. To streamline the process—as well as to keep my own head straight—I created this website. Now, when asked for information, I can point to this site for everything Uganda safari-related.
Uganda is home to some of the most diverse, exciting flora and fauna in the world. Rated one of the best tourist destinations in the world, the country’s booming hospitality industry welcomes guests with open arms. Located in Eastern Africa and bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the country offers gorgeous scenery, unforgettable cultural experiences, and the opportunity to observe incredible wildlife.
Whether you landed here because of a tip or an organic search, welcome! I can only hope this website imparts some of the knowledge I’ve gained as a future safari guide, and I hope you find Uganda as beautiful and charming as I do.
